Despite what we see on the calendar and on the thermometer, we know that spring is right around the corner. We have certainly had some rough weather to deal with again this winter, but that makes the anticipation for spring that much stronger. Its time to begin thinking about getting your boat ready for launch and summer fun.

We are planning for a late April (week of 4/30) waterfront installation with water, power, and fuel on the docks in early May. Of course, once the docks are in, the launches can begin! Those of you who have not yet contacted us in regards to your anticipated launch dates may want to do so soon. We would like to start compiling your approximate launch dates so we can "stage" the early launch boats first. This "staging" would be to complete the items needed for launch (bottom painting, mast stepping, etc.), and move onto the next wave of boats scheduled for launch. This will enable us to keep mobility in the yard at a maximum, reduce labor, and still allow room for customers to work on their boats outside if desired. Please review the Service and Launch Planner on the reverse, and get back to us as soon as you can.

Due to liability and environmental laws, "do it yourself" boatyards are rapidly disappearing throughout the United States. We intend to remain one of those boatyards for as long as we can. We may need to institute new rules regarding owner performed work in the future, but our current customer work policy (available in our office) can be summed up in one sentence. Be courteous, safe, and use common sense. If you want to have an outside contractor work on your vessel while it is on our property, contact us first to discuss the requirements that we have for outside contractors.

Remember that we carry most of the materials and supplies needed for getting your boat ready. We can supply tape, brushes, rollers, trays, and paints at competitive prices. If you want something else for the week-end, we can order it ahead of time and have it here for your Saturday project. This can help you save time, gas, and money!

Best wishes for an enjoyable boating season!
